Happy New Year
----
Here is my top nine of the year. It's clear the animal week drawings from June was a very popular series with 5 of them making the top 9. Even though this year has been hard and it's been strange, I've enjoyed creating and drawing a lot. I got my galaxy tablet in December 2019 and over the year I've practiced and improved my digital drawing skills lots. One of my highlights of the year was completing my first children's book i made for my second year of uni and I'm still so proud of it and can't wait to create more children's stories in the future. I'm very grateful for all the support everyone has shown this year and it has really helped keep me sane and motivated. Let's hope the world gets better in 2021 and I continue to improve my skills even further.

Ho ho ho its Father Christmas
On the door of one of the days of my advent calendar, it said can you draw santa? And well I thought I'd give it ago. This jolly old fellow is busy this time of year and is excited to spread some happiness to the world in what has been a tricky year for so many. I tried to draw the northern lights in the background but it didn't go too well but its a nice splash of colour in the background.
Question of the day--- What do you leave out for father Christmas on Christmas eve?
We always used to leave out a small bottle of snowball, a mince pie and a carrot for the reindeer.

Elves packing the sleigh
A fun little illustration of some of Santa's elves packing all the presents for the children in the sleigh. They are inspired by the elves in the simpsons in the show that Maggie loves. I've not done many illustrations with lots of humanlike characters in one scene like this in ages and I still feel like I need to improve with doing more full and exciting scenes. I hope you enjoy this Christmas scene. :)

Tree-rex
I got a comment on one of my recent Instagram posts that inspired this fun pun. The T-rex is all decked out for Christmas with his tree costume. He has his little star headband and lots and lots of little colourful fairy lights. I really liked creating this so I really hope you enjoy it.

Christmas fairy
This character is based on @_banshee_art_ on Instagram 's characters they made into a draw this in your style. I made her into a waitress in a diner serving Christmas pudding up to her customers. I liked taking the dtiys character and running with it and turning it into a proper scene. I hadn't done a dtiys in a while but sometimes I see them feel inspired to do it. However if any of my Instagram followers are reading this, if you start a draw this in your style challenge, even if I don't do it, I alway add it to a saved folder full of dtiys on Instagram to go back to in the future.

Digital portrait
I felt like I had drawn a person in my style for a while so I drew this. She is inspired by one of my friends taking a lot of her features. The shadow behind is one of my favorite things about this as I think it really makes the background glow. The background is tartan as my friend really likes scotland and outlander.

on the look out
This piece is a drawing of a lighthouse at night with a boat. If you look closely there is a person guarding the lighthouse. I love some of the textures I got in the piece with some of the brushes on autodesk sketchbook. I love the textures of the sky and the pen I used on the land with the dry marker. This is mostly a texture and brush try out piece so the actually drawing isn't that important to me but I think I still like the idea.

late night ice skating
Following the getting in the Christmas spirit design, the same couple are out on a late night ice skate. This design really was playing with brushes and textures on autodesk sketchbook so I hope you like it.

inktober 2020 part 4
Last inktober 2020 collection. George has gone trick or treating, gotten scared of the bed monster, waited for a bus, went to school, flew a kite, played with toys and danced to music.
I hope you enjoyed George and following his little adventures. Maybe we'll see George again and he'll be developed and go on even more adventures.
