A young boy and his dog

This is an illustration is to help explore and improve on drawing toddlers. This toddler is playing with a dog in the garden. This kid is just super cute in his little dungarees with a tiny little dinosaur on the pocket. I had a lot of fun with this and he is inspired by some of the kids at the place I work in the day. 

Christmas fairy

This character is based on @_banshee_art_ on Instagram 's characters they made into a draw this in your style. I made her into a waitress in a diner serving Christmas pudding up to her customers. I liked taking the dtiys character and running with it and turning it into a proper scene. I hadn't done a dtiys in a while but sometimes I see them feel inspired to do it. However if any of my Instagram followers are reading this, if you start a draw this in your style challenge, even if I don't do it, I alway add it to a saved folder full of dtiys on Instagram to go back to in the future. 

Digital portrait

I felt like I had drawn a person in my style for a while so I drew this. She is inspired by one of my friends taking a lot of her features. The shadow behind is one of my favorite things about this as I think it really makes the background glow.  The background is tartan as my friend really likes scotland and outlander. 

late night ice skating

Following the getting in the Christmas spirit design,  the same couple are out on a late night ice skate. This design really was playing with brushes and textures on autodesk sketchbook so I hope you like it. 

Summer Strawberries

Happy summer! its not felt too summery much this year, it seemed warmer in April when we could leave the house than in June and July when England as been more open. Strawberries remind me of Wimbledon and those fun summer days of sitting in the house watching tennis all day and having Strawberries and ice cream for pudding each evening, so good. I was feeling summery and wanted to do a fun, bright and colourful pattern design for summer time. Wow I've types summer a lot, does it still sound like a real word? 

I didn't used to eat a lot of fruit but I am getting better now and a lot less fussy. I used to only have apples and Strawberries ( but only in season) but recently I've been trying a lot more fruit and its quite nice. Hope this increased fruit consumption continues when I'm back at university living away from home but I'm not sure it will. Whys fruit so expensive?!?? Seriously Lidl I won't pay £2 for like 10 raspberries. Might just be my thriftiness shining through again.....

Queen of Hearts

So this is the start of a new mini series of artwork. This digital art work is called the Queen of hearts. This mini series will be called the Queen of Cards and all the series will be similar drawings to this one. I wanted to focus on getting better at portraits as they are something I've never been the most confident with but doing digital portraits like this are helping me become more confident. I really hope you enjoy this mini series as much I enjoyed making the drawings for it. 

Jungle adventures

On Instagram, I found the prompt list for animal adventure week 2020 that was a challenge for the first week of june 2020. 

For this list of prompts, I created the character of Kerry the koala who is an explorer. 

The first prompt was the jungle. In this drawing, I drew kerry in a boat floating down the river going through the jungle. In the jungle we see a leopard, sloth and parrot. 

80s inspired patterns

These patterns are fun brightly coloured geometric designs I drew in my sketchbook for fun and I loved how they turned out so I remade them on Autodesk sketchbook and loved then even more. They are inspired by the retro vibes of the 80s. I really like drawing patterns and find it so enjoyable especially on my tablet where I can repeat the shapes and ideas more. I hope you like these patterns and I plan to create more. Like all my digital work, I have put them on the redbubble and they look so fab especially since I can do repeat patterning on there so a full repeat on products looks so funky and colourful. :) xxx

lemon gal

This piece was inspired by a dtiys I found on Instagram, I loved the colourful clothing the original artist used. This drawing helped me explore even  more of the brushes on Autodesk sketchbook and I loved the textures I managed to get from them. I hope you ime this drawing. 

Katniss from the hunger games

With the release of ballad of songbirds and snakes, I decided to drawing Katniss from the hunger games trilogy. Here she is hunting with her bow and arrow by the river. I love the hunger games both the movies and the books so I am excited for the new book. 

Cinderella inspired piece

Recently I have been trying to improve my drawing skills by practicing poses. For these pose practices (also seen in the previous red riding hood drawing), I plan on using book characters especially using classic fairy tales characters and scenes. This drawing focuses on Cinderella. It is a modern take on the scene where her step sisters have ripped up her dress.

funky unicorn

This unicorn  is a draw this in your style challenge set by the amazing Francesca Damkar on Instagram. Right now I am really enjoying doing draw this in your style challenges as they are really inspiring me to try different things and helping me work on finding and refining my own style. Doing them is also helping me work on improving my digital skills. To think only a year ago I just starting out learning how to do digital pieces and now I work digital more than anything. I am so happy that I am more confident working digital as I know it will help me in the long run as a professional designer and illustrator.

flowery pattern

I have always loved drawing patterns and this was really fun to draw. I put this on redbubble and it looks really good on the products as repeat especially on he dress and skirt. Also redbubble has recently released masks so all my designs are available as a mask. Hello all, today this is an exciting post for me as I am launching my own and very first draw this in your style challenge. Tomatoes are my favourite fruit and  made this drawing to be funny as the tomato is angry that people keep calling him a vegetable.

Victoria Tower on Castle Hill

I really want to get better at landscape drawings so I did this drawing of castle hill which is in huddersfield. On a good day, walking up the hill is a brilliant thing to do as you can see for miles around looking over huddersfield. It's so pretty and peaceful. Highly recommend if you are in the huddersfield area. I hope you like this drawing. I plan on doing more landscapes as I enjoyed this one and I want to broaden my skill set.
