Autumn vegetables

Little selection of autumn veggies. I was playing around with different brushes and textures on autodesk sketchbook and created this. I think the leek turned out the best. Autumn has the best vegetables and they are the best in soups and stews.
 What is your favourite vegetable?
I like all vegetables pretty much but my favourite are parsnips.

Bright pattern

Saw a video of how to create water and sea like designs. So I thought I'd try it out, this was my first attempt and I didnt get it looking quite like water but I enjoy the pattern it makes. I might try again and get it looking more like water but like like working with more colours in general so this can just be a nice bold pattern for now.

Walrus

A quick sketch of a walrus in a fancy waistcoat. I don't know why but walruses always seem fancy and deserve a nice hat or waistcoat or something to me. Is it just me that thinks  this?

let's get in the Christmas spirit

For my Christmassy designs this year, I wanted to try out lots of different styles and textures. This bold style is one im always drawn to when I see them around and wanted to try it out. How do you think it turned out? It might be harder to get in the Christmas spirit this year but there's nothing a bit of bubbly can't solve hahaha!!!

Rockpool crab fishing at the beach illustration

Crab fishing in the rock pools at the beach were one of my favourite things to do as a kid. The rock pools are always so interesting to look into to see the creatures and plants that live in them. I've not been crab fishing in many years since the frightful day, probably aboutn10+ years now, where the hook got caught into my knee. I was OK, don't worry! It was more of a shock to get stabbed by a little hook meant to hold on to the shell bait to catch the crabs. But after a thornton's mint crumble and a lemonade I was back to my usual happy self on holiday in the rainy East Coast of Yorkshire, our favourite holiday spot as a family when I was younger. I hope you like this scene drawing of a character with full landscape and scenery. I like the texture I made in the sand and the white foamy-ness of the end of waves in the sea. Sadly haven't been able to go to the beach in over a year but its a bit  far away to get to at the moment with the world being a bit... well you know... I want to do more drawings like these with full scenery so I can continue to improve and trust me I have and I will never stop improving as long as I practice so look forward seeing them and watch as I improve.

sending some happiness

Even in the darkest times, there will always some ray of sunshine poking though. So never give up. Look on the brighter side. Put on a smile. Talk about your worries. But never give up   :)

Queen of Hearts

So this is the start of a new mini series of artwork. This digital art work is called the Queen of hearts. This mini series will be called the Queen of Cards and all the series will be similar drawings to this one. I wanted to focus on getting better at portraits as they are something I've never been the most confident with but doing digital portraits like this are helping me become more confident. I really hope you enjoy this mini series as much I enjoyed making the drawings for it.
