In the summer, I finished my university course in illustration. This is the link to my page on the online degree show. Its a shame I didn't get to have a proper in person degree show but its nice that this online degree show lasts a long time. On the website, you can see a selection of illustrations i did for my final major project of Mr Badger's endangered expedition and there is also a link to a little portfolio of work I made. I am really proud of my final major project where I created a lift the flip book for children. As someone who didn't do well at school, I managed to excel at university and get top marks and for the first time ever in my life I felt like I am actually smart and that makes me for happy.

University student essentials
I miss being a student so I thought I would make a fun little illustrated poster of some things you need as a student, at least what I think are an absolute must.
I used watercolours and watercolour pencils and a little bit of metallic ink cos I love a little bit of sparkle and shine.
The essential I've drawn are:
-an extension lead (your uni room might not have many plugs and if you are an international student you will need one with the correct adaptors to suit your plugs.)
-scissors, they are just something you need in your life and many of us just forget to pack a pair.
-hangers so you can hang things in your wardrobe as your room most likely won't come with any.
-fairy lights to make your room cosy and homely in the evening as your room can feel bare and weird so make it feel nice to live in.
-slippers or slides as your kitchen and communal areas might not always be the cleanest so you don't want to be bare foot or ruin your socks.
-colourful cutlery, there will probably be at least 5 others in your uni flat or house all with a set of knives and forks. You will loose a spoon or two but if you get a unique and colourful set you are less likely to loose them and if someone steals your folk you can call them out better rather then everyone in the flat having boring plain metal cutlery.
- toilet roll is just a life must but you can easily forget to pack some and you don't want to need some and not have any.
-pot noodles are a stereotypical uni meal but they do make a decent lunch every now and again. Don't live off them but they aren't that bad. You can also get 20p ones from lidl so they are super cheap and you can add extras to it like frozen spinach and quorn pieces to make it a more balanced soup.
-tupperware is so great. Great for putting things in the microwave and for when you've made too much pasta.
-pin board pins, your room will most likely have a big pin board and pins mean you can put photos and posters up so its more interesting and homely.
-playing cards mean you always have something to play with at a games night or pre drinks.
-id don't go to uni without some form of id. You will need it to get into pubs and clubs but you might also need it to enrol at the uni on your first day.
-grater as who doesn't love to make all meals Cheesy.
-pesto and pasta as its a super super simple meal and most students eat this at least once a week.
What else would you consider a must for uni students?
