Fermain bay

While watching landscape artist of the year 2022 on sky arts, I wanted to give doing a landscape a go as it not something I do very often. I looked through my holiday photos from 2019 and picked out a picture my sister took at Fermain Bay in Guernsey. In the scene, we see lots of sea and sand. There is also a nice looking yacht and in the middle of the scene is me and my parents having a paddle in the sea. The water wasn't very warm but when on holiday you have to brave the cold waters at least once. I really enjoyed doing this piece and I think it turned out great. The sky and the sea definitely want very well. Landscapes are something I've never been too confident at but I think I'm getting better with each little go at one. I might try a greener for mountainy scene next time.

You're shrimply the best

Another design made for the sainsbury's valentine's competition. This one has 2 little shrimps on and a pun on simply the best. I like this design a lot as I love the 2 main colours used and I think its really fun.

Walrus

A quick sketch of a walrus in a fancy waistcoat. I don't know why but walruses always seem fancy and deserve a nice hat or waistcoat or something to me. Is it just me that thinks  this?

Draw the oceans

Over on Instagram, green peace have been running a draw the oceans campaign where by artists draw what you can find in the oceans. Like many, I picked to draw a whale. This cute but not so little whale lives in the oceans is very happy.
Did you know Whales breath air like we do and cannot breath underwater so have to stay close to the surface while underwater. Most whales can only stay underwater for around 35 minutes at a time.

on the look out

This piece is a drawing of a lighthouse at night with a boat. If you look closely there is a person guarding the lighthouse. I love some of the textures I got in the piece with some of the brushes on autodesk sketchbook.  I love the textures of the sky and the pen I used on the land with the dry marker. This is mostly a texture and brush try out piece so the actually drawing isn't that important to me but I think I still like the idea.
